7450th Medical Operational Readiness Unit (FWD) takes charge of DWMMC

The 7456th Medical Operation Readiness Unit (Det 43) transferred authority of the Deployed Warrior Medical Management Center (DWMMC) at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) to the 7450th Medical Operational Readiness Unit (FWD) during a Transfer of Authority Ceremony held at LRMC, Oct. 31.

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center upheld The Joint Commission's Gold Seal of Approval for accreditation following a recent survey, reflecting LRMC's commitment to TJC standards and elements of performance, the same standards and elements used to survey civilian healthcare facilities.

As part of the annual KMC Retiree Appreciation Day, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center partnered with U.S. Army Garrison Rhineland-Pfalz and Ramstein Air Base to show gratitude and support to military retirees living overseas at the Ramstein Officers’ Club on Ramstein Air Base, Oct. 19.

USO's Warrior Center at Landstuhl celebrates 15 years

On Oct. 20, Landstuhl Regional Medical Center (LRMC) proudly joined in the commemoration of the 15th anniversary of the USO's Warrior Center, at Landstuhl, Germany. The center, the first of its kind, opened on Oct. 21, 2008, and was constructed specifically to provide comfort to wounded, ill and injured service members who are receiving care at LRMC, serving countless Service Members, while offering a touch of home and sense of community during their recovery.

Sole American Medical Center in Europe to celebrate 70 years

Landstuhl Regional Medical Center is slated to host a week-long celebration, open to all DOD-ID cardholders, marking 70 years of selfless service and military medicine in Germany, April 11-14, 2023. The week will kick off on April 11 with the Legacy Olympics, a Kaiserslautern Military Community-wide functional fitness competition hosted by LRMC’s Inpatient Behavioral Health Clinic, to promote physical fitness and healthy alternatives for mental health balance. The event will be followed by two days of Leadership Professional Development (LPD) sessions where current and former commanders, command sergeants major and wounded warriors will share lessons learned during their service / treatment at LRMC and the hospital’s impact on their lives.
