Addiction Medicine Intensive Outpatient Program

The Addiction Medicine Intensive Outpatient Program (AMIOP) offers a six-week partial hospitalization program for substance dependency. Patients are housed in billeting while in treatment. Treatment begins at 7:30 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays; phones are also staffed from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

Referrals are received from OCONUS military outpatient alcohol and drug programs, Army SUDCC, Air Force ADAPT, and Navy DAPA. Evaluations for the AMIOP six-week partial program are initiated at the above substance abuse outpatient programs that send all the necessary documentation for referral purposes.

Once the AMIOP accepts a referral, there may be a waiting period as admissions occur every six weeks, and there may be a waiting list. Treatment is comprehensive and all personal issues will be evaluated and treated.

Treatment modalities include: group therapy, individual counseling, 12 Step Education, social skills training, modern evidenced-based treatment such as motivational interviewing, and attendance at local 12 Step Meetings.
