Contact Us / General Information
Below is general information to help guide with common questions / information. If you still require information, please submit your query.
Access to LRMC
All non-DoD ID cardholders who request access to a U.S. military installation are required to either be escorted by a DoD ID cardholder at all times, be on an approved access roster, or be issued an installation pass.
You can find more information here:
https://home.army.mil/rheinland-pfalz/index.php/about/directorates-support-offices/directorate-emergency-services-des/installation-access-control
Allergy / Immunizations
Good Morning,
LRMC’s Allergy/Immunization department can be contacted by calling DSN 590-5816 or CIV Phone: 06371-9464-5816 on Monday - Friday * : 7:30 a.m. - 4:15 p.m. *Wednesday: 7:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. No Walk-in Services are available
Birth Certificate / Report of live birth
LRMC does not issue birth certificates, but we do issue a report of live birth that the U.S. Consulate uses to issue a Consulate Report of Birth Abroad (FS-240).
To replace or amend a Consular Report of Birth Abroad (CRBA), follow the instructions at the U.S. Department of State website at
http://travel.state.gov/content/passports/en/abroad/events-and-records/birth/replace-or-amend-consular-report-of-birth-abroad.html
If you would like to speak with someone in the Birth Registration Office at Landstuhl Medical Center, they can be reached from the U.S. at 011-49-6371-9464-7053 or in Europe at 049-(0)6371-9464-7053.
Book / Film requests
Thank you for your interest in Landstuhl Regional Medical Center. Authors / Media seeking interviews or filming with our staff or on our campus must coordinate their request with the Public Affairs Office. Those requests will be routed through the U.S. Army Office of Public Affairs Outreach and Community Relations offices.
To facilitate your request, please include:
A short synopsis of the work
A short biography and of the requestor
What support is desired (for example interviews, photos, embed or response to query)
Intended publication platform (film, television, book, etc.)
Care packages / Flowers
We at Landstuhl, both patients and staff, appreciate the spirit in gifting to patients to improve wellbeing, however we normally don't allow flowers or edible items due to allergies or diet restrictions of the patient and those around them. Additionally, if you are not a family member or next of kin, Federal Law and regulations governing patient privacy make providing patient information, such as room number, stay, etc. difficult to provide. A member of the nursing staff must ask patients for permission to provide information related to their care, such as room number, ward, etc., and they must obtain their permission in writing.
If you still wish to coordinate a gift to your friend, please contact them or a family member and have them speak with the medical staff regarding receiving such gifts. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.
COVID-19 testing and results
LRMC provides COVID-19 testing for official travel and unofficial / leisure travel. The LRMC COVID-19 Screening Clinic (CSC) is open 7:30 a.m. - Noon and 1 - 4:30 p.m., Sunday - Thursday. The CSC is located next to the LRMC Emergency Department. Patients requiring testing outside the hours of operation should only present themselves at the Emergency Department if they are having significant medical symptoms requiring evaluation.
Results are usually available online at TRICAREonline.com or via email from the U.S. Army Garrison tracer teams.
The Emergency Department will not test for non-emergent issues.

Monetary / Item Donations
Thank you for your generosity toward the patients at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.
The point of contact for sending donations and greeting cards is our Chaplains Office which can be reached at usarmy.landstuhl.medcom-rhc-e.mbx.lrmc-chaplains-office@mail.mil or by phone at 011-49-6371-9464-5713.
Volunteering
To volunteer at LRMC, individuals need to go through the American Red Cross as this is a medical facility. They have opportunities for general volunteers (non-medical providers who don't need to access our computer network) like working at our Information Desks at the ER entrance and 4 Corners to help people find their way through the hospital. There are other opportunities as well, please contact the Red Cross directly.
In addition, the Fisher House (a home away from home where families of wounded, injured or ill service members can stay at no cost) has a great need for volunteers for yard work as it is difficult to keep up with. This is a great volunteer activity for a group of coworkers, like your company. They can typically take a group of 5, Monday through Friday within their business hours of 9:30-4 p.m. One DOD ID Card holder in your group can sponsor up to 4 people. This would need to be coordinated through the Fisher House Manager, who is currently out of the office until the end of May. Please feel free to contact them in June.
The USO Warrior Center also has many opportunities for groups to sponsor and/or help cook meals for wounded warriors and other service members.

Exceptional Family Member Program
The best point-of-contact to answer your questions about availability of specialty care for an upcoming PCS to Europe is your local EFMP office. The LRMC and the Regional EFMP offices cannot respond to unofficial assignment requests. The assignment request needs to come from Human Resources Command (HRC) or Installation Management Command-Europe (IMCOM-E).
Your local stateside EFMP office will coordinate with their overseas counterparts here to determine the best location for family members to receive the appropriate care they need.
If a service member or DOD civilian is enrolled in EFMP prior to being putting on assignment, HRC will reach out to the gaining installation and ask them to confirm if the Family can be accommodated. The gaining installation will pull the EFMP Summary report of available service in the area and will provide a response to HRC. If the Soldier or Family wants to ensure that services required are listed on their EFMP Summary, then they should go to their local EFMP Office (Health Clinic) and request a copy of the PERnet.
Once a service member or DOD civilian is put on an OCONUS assignment, then the Family will need to complete the OCONUS Family Travel Screening at their CONUS EFMP Office. The service member or DOD civilian will submit the documents to their personnel office, which will in turn process them to IMCOM-E and they will request an official recommendation from our office.
If the service member or DOD civilian is unsure if a prior coordination was done they can check with their branch manager and see the local EFMP Office.

Foreign Patients
For U.S. Department of Defense medical assistance for a non-American patient, the procedure would be for government of their country to request this support through the local U.S. Embassy in their country.
These requests are evaluated and then forwarded by the U.S. Embassy to our U.S. Department of State to the Department of Defense. The cases usually have to have some type of reason why DoD is being requested for the support (for example, urgent amputation support, burn care or traumatic brain injury) and, unless waived, the costs are reimbursable. That means that the patient’s home country would pay the costs of treatment.
If this is something you are interested in doing, please should have your country’s Ministry of Defense contact our military personnel at their nearest U.S. Embassy -- starting with the US Embassy's Office of Defense Cooperation.
Holy Communion request
If you received your First Holy Communion on a Military Instillation and were a military dependant at the time, your Sacramental Records can be found through the Archdiocese of Military Services, U.S.A. (
www.milarch.org
go to "Forms", then click on "Sacramental Records Form" and finally click on "Online Sacramental Request Form". Fill out your request and e-mail it to the Archdiocese....or...you can call at 202-719-3624)
Unlike a conventional diocese, the AMS has no parishes or parish registries. Because military chapels are United States Government property, the maintenance of all records of sacraments performed on U.S. Military Installations are maintained by the AMS.
ID Card Office
The official DEERS / ID offices at Kleber Kaserne, Bldg. 3245, Rm. 102 and at Ramstein, Bldg. 2106, Rm. 117 both offer full DEERS and CAC services.
No ID Card services are currently available at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center.
Medical Evacuation of deployed Service Member
For information about a DEPLOYED service member receiving care at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center:
The military chain of command should initially contact the unit's Medical Officer (MEDO) first as they will typically work directly with the Patient Liaison Noncommissioned Officer (LNO) at LRMC.
If additional assistance is needed, or for family members of the patient, please contact the Deployed Warrior Medical Management Center (DWMMC).

Sir/Ma’am,
Patients can request records by email from LRMC Medical Records Office. They simply need to download and complete DD Form 2870 which can be found at https://www.esd.whs.mil/Portals/54/Documents/DD/forms/dd/dd2870.pdf
Patients should include a legible email address on DD Form 2870. The records will be sent to that email address in a PDF format with password protection. The password will be sent in a separate email.
Scan the signed DD Form 2870 for the request and email them, along with a copy of the front and back of the requestor's ID (it cannot be a DOD ID Card), to: usarmy.landstuhl.medcom-ermc.list.lrmc-pad-correspondence-req@health.mil
Upon receipt, we will acknowledge receipt of the request via email and begin the processing. Normal processing time is 30 working days or less.
For more information on locating medical records, please call LRMC Outpatient Records Room at DSN 314-590-5204 or Commercial from the U.S. 011-49-6371-9464-5204 or email

Medical Training for Units
The training programs at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center are open to members of the Department of Defense. Members of the DOD may contact the LRMC Education Department at DSN 590-7110, Commercial 06371-9464-7110 or by email at
usarmy.landstuhl.medcom-rhc-e.mbx.lrmc-resuscitative-medicine@health.mil
to schedule a class, if there are open seats are available. Of course, medical staff and employees have priority and these classes do fill up fast.
Another option, and the option for people not affiliated with the DOD, is contacting the
American Red Cross
to see what classes they offer in your area.
Space Available Care at LRMC
Access for civilian employees and their families to military medical and dental treatment facilities is on a space-available and reimbursable basis only. Landstuhl Regional Medical Center does offer certain space-available specialty care to non-uniformed beneficiaries. Depending on monthly availability, these services may not always be available to you as a non-TRICARE beneficiary. Please see our
Specialty Care website
for more information and to check the latest monthly availability report which details space available across all hospital services.
Newcomers are also encouraged to start working with health insurance for information on benefits / coverage overseas, as there are options on the local Host-Nation economy for medical care when that care isn't available at LRMC.
Additionally, the DOD / DODEA Civilians who are selected for overseas positions may voluntarily forward to the civilian human resources representative completed DD Forms 2792 or 2792-1 for each family member with special needs to provide information on the availability of medical and educational services.
For LRMC newcomers, there is information available in our
Sponsorship package
regarding space-available care and other topics.
