Dermatology
Overview
We are a referral-based clinic specializing in the treatment of skin, hair, and nail conditions for all military branches of the Department of Defense as well as members of NATO and the Diplomatic Corps. Consequently, all new patients require a referral from their primary care physician (PCP), or other authorized medical provider.
We offer advanced medical and dermatologic surgical services to include Mohs micrographic surgery. Additionally, we have a variety of laser devices and other light-based modalities to help with the management of skin diseases. While our focus is on active-duty patients, retirees, dependents, and contractors may be seen depending on the current state of access to care. Exceptions to policy may be considered but are subjected to the review and approval of our staff.
Virtual
Teledermatology is a key service offered by the Landstuhl Dermatology Clinic, utilizing both picture-based (asynchronous) and video-based (synchronous) methods to evaluate, manage, and treat a wide range of inflammatory skin conditions. This approach allows for greater accessibility and convenience for patients who may be unable to attend in-person appointments. Tele-health appointments, however, come with specific protocols and additional requirements to ensure quality care. These can be found in the “Policies and Forms” section below. For patients located in Vicenza, please refer to the appropriate instructions from the list provided for further guidance.
Cosmetics
Our clinic can address and treat a variety of cosmetic concerns to include hair loss, photoaging wrinkles, scars, and skin dyspigmentation, among others.
The cost of all cosmetic procedures will be borne by the patient following the completion of all required documentation and payment.
Please note: Cosmetic procedures are currently suspended due to ongoing access to care limitations. Patients seeking cosmetic services may contact the clinic to be placed on a waitlist.
For further information, please review our cosmetic policy linked below.
