Landstuhl Germany Fisher House Mission
The two Landstuhl Fisher Houses provide a "home away from home" for families and patients receiving medical care at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany. Families served are from the US European Command, US Central Command, US Special Operations Command, US Africa Command and the 72 Embassies in Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. As of today, we are proud to have supported over 20,000 families of which more than 2,800 have come from Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF-Afghanistan) or Operation New Dawn (formerly OIF). We are also proud to say we have assisted 27 coalition countries in their families' time of need.
Landstuhl Germany Fisher House Eligibility & Cost
Landstuhl Fisher Houses prioritize their rooms according to the severity of the medical situation. All active duty, retired military, and their military dependents, who live at least 50 miles away from the hospital are eligible. In order to serve our families in crisis, we are unable to take reservations. Referrals can be made one week in advance. Confirmation is normally given one day before arrival. There is no charge to stay at the Fisher House and demand for our rooms is high; because of this, families should make a backup plan and be prepared to stay in a local hotel (average 80 Euro/night), if the Ramstein Inn ( single and family) is unavailable. Their reservation number is 06371-45-4920 or DSN 480-4920. Click here for a list of local hotels. Service liaisons: Army DSN 486-6918; Marine DSN 486-6677; Air Force DSN 486-7660; Navy DSN 486-8127.
