The Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) Partnered Mission
The Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) Intake Office in Landstuhl, Germany, accepts Pre-discharge disability compensation claims from active-duty service members stationed in Europe, Africa and the Middle East. Service members must be within 180 days of their effective separation or retirement date and be able to schedule and report to all necessary examinations in the location from which they are separating.

The Benefits Delivery at Discharge (BDD) Intake Office in Landstuhl is staffed from 8 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. daily (except federal holidays). Our office accepts "Walk-in" claims from active-duty service members stationed within the Kaiserslautern Military Community (KMC). Additionally, we accept "Fly-in" claims (see website listed above) from locations elsewhere in Germany, throughout all of Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. "Walk In" availability is Monday - Friday from 9 a.m. to Noon and from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.
In order to start a BDD claim:
While in Germany, visit the BDD Office located in Bldg. 3724, rooms 110 and 112 at Landstuhl Regional Medical Center: Mondays through Thursdays from 9 a.m. to Noon and from 1 to 3 p.m.

• Remember, to fully participate in the BDD Program, VA must receive a completed VA Form 21-526EZ between 90 and 180 days prior to separation, along with a complete copy of service treatment records (or original) for all periods of service, and the service member must be available to attend and complete all phases of the VA/DoD BDD medical examination at this location before leaving active duty.
